Stuffed Mushrooms with Goat Cheese & Turkey Breakfast Sausage

Written By: Chris - Jul• 07•12

So you might realize… providing you are a “mushroom lover”, you can stuff them with just about anything and enjoy them.  Similar to peppers!  It was a Monday night “girls night” – or our regular excuse for our get-together to eat, drink, socialize and laugh at this season of the “smut show”.  (AKA Emily’s season of the Bachelorette)  I had a large package of jumbo fresh mushrooms that I wanted to prepare.  Looking through the fridge to see what was on hand… I didn’t have my normal “go to” ingredients such as cooked bacon and/or cream cheese.    I decided I would create some mushrooms with what I did have download baby boss.

The temperature outdoors was crazy hot and I didn’t feel like running the range against the central air, so I decided to “bake” these in a foil pan covered inside the grill.  I simply utilized the heat on the side with no direct flame.  I maintained the overall heat around 400 and cooked them for 30 minutes or so once they were stuffed herunterladen.

Ingredients:

1/2 Onion
10 pre-cooked Turkey Breakfast Sausage
2 Garlic Cloves
12-14 Mushrooms, including stems
1 Tablespoon Rosemary infused Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1/3 Cup soft Goat Cheese
2 Tablespoons 1/2 & 1/2 Cream
1/3 Cup Light sour Cream
1/2 Cup Viognier (white wine)
1/2 Cup part Skim Mozzarella
2 Tablespoons Romano
2 Tablespoons sugar free Maple Syrup
2 Tablespoons chopped Fresh Rosemary
salt & Pepper
3 Tablespoons butter
3/4 Cup Panko crumbs

Digging through the fridge, I was inspired by the large package of mushrooms that I needed to use while fresh!  I had a bit of goat cheese, a portion of onion and other ingredients that motivated me download the radiothek.

Start by brushing any soil off of the mushrooms using a very lightly moist paper towel or brush.  Remove the stems and chop them along with the onion so that they are about equal in size.  Saute the onions for a while in the seasoned oil tossing frequently until they become translucent.  If you don’t have seasoned oil, just use some fresh herbs and garlic to create the same flavors!  Add the chopped mushrooms and saute until each begins to brown nicely herunterladen.

Add the smashed garlic and chopped breakfast sausage.  Cook over medium high heat tossing frequently until sausage, mushrooms and onions are browned.  Season with salt & pepper to your liking download deklination.

Add the wine and allow it to cook high heat until the alcohol is dissolved.  (You can use any white wine you have on hand that has a hint of sweet) Download word app for free.

Turn down the heat and mix in the goat cheese, stirring until melted.  Add the cream, sour cream, syrup and shredded cheeses stirring gently just to blend everything together.  Cook over low heat until the liquid is reduced and thickened some what.  Stir in chopped Rosemary and set aside and allow to cool slightly before putting in a piping bag to fill mushrooms all on the left of one page.

Mean while, melt butter in microwave safe dish and toss with Panko bread crumbs.  Place buttons of mushrooms stem side up in an oven safe dish or grill proof pan that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray.  Stuff mushrooms with piping bag (or spoon evenly into each if you do not have a pastry bag).  Sprinkle each with the butter/Panko crumbs.  Cover and bake for roughly 20-25 minutes.  Remove cover and bake or broil for final five minutes to brown crumbs.  (this doesn’t work so well on the grill, but they get crunchy anyways)  Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving to firm up Download videos from the media library mac.

We enjoyed this with the wine that was used within!

I can’t tell you how much we enjoy Summer salads!  I was inspired to try something different working with what I had on hand! I had recently been perusing through some of  my friend Heather’s cook books while visiting.  I thought it would be fun to see if any of the recipes in her books looked interesting… There was one that caught my eye – it was a cold green bean and ham with mustard, but it included potatoes.  I wasn’t feeling like making a potato salad, and I had just made a batch of my Szechuan style green beans, so I had half a package of the blanched left over green beans in the fridge!  I also had some turkey ham, which  is one of our favorites, some left over roasted sweet onions and fresh dill in season.  The hard boiled egg give it a rich smoothness and the almonds add some crunch!  Give this a try!  It is healthy, quick, easy and delicious herunterladen!

Ingredients:

1 lb streams aus mediathekenen. cooked French Green Beans (chilled)
1/2 Cup Light Mayonnaise
1/3 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
1/3 Cup Spicy Mustard
2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
2 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
2 Cups Turkey Ham, chopped
2/3 Cup Cooked (Sweet) Onion
3 Eggs (hard boiled)
Fresh Dill
Salt & Pepper

Hard boil the eggs and cool under cold running water until chilled.  Chop the green beans into nice bite size pieces and set aside.  Chop the chilled roasted sweet onion and combine with the mayonnaise, yogurt, mustard, wines an salt & pepper

Add the copped green beans and cubed ham with the fresh chopped dill and chopped boiled egg

Top with the slivered roasted and salted almonds for some crunch!  Bill thought that this would also be good with “chow mein” noodles for crunch, but unfortunately I did not have any in the pantry.  There is another ham salad that includes the eggs which is topped with the noodles and it’s great!  Maybe next time…

Grilled Country Style Pork Ribs

Written By: Chris - Jul• 03•12

The other night we were looking for something different to grill.  You have already viewed the side dishes for this meal in earlier posts.  I had picked up these Country Style Pork Ribs at the local market when they were on sale “dirt cheap”!  They were tender and delicious and the package actually made two meals when you considered the left overs.  I used a simple seasoning that I received as a gift from my friend Deb and the actual meal was prepared and cooked in about 45 minutes uni oldenburg powerpoint!

Allow the pork to come to room temperature for about a half hour before grilling.  Season generously with salt & pepper or a dry rub of your choice.  This rub includes salt, black pepper, sugar, garlic and some other seasonings open office word for free.

Rub generously into the pork and place on a medium high grill

Cook with the grill cover closed while turning the chops from time to time.  Make sure all sides get the nice charred grill marks

The process should only take about 20 minutes – and should be done just about the same time as the potato foil pack

Remove from the grill and tent with foil.  Allow the chops to rest for 10 minutes before serving.  Chops will be moist & smokey delicous

We enjoyed this with a spicy BBQ sauce (mix your favorite barbeque sauce with some “Franks” hot sauce!) and a nice glass of Turley Zin download facebook messenger without play store!

Enjoy!
