Spinach & Strawberry Salad with Candied Walnuts

Spinach is so good for you and is one of Bill’s favorites… I was inspired to make this salad because I had recently ordered it off a menu while dining out mehrere pdf dateien herunterladen. Ingredients:
1/2 pound fresh Spinach
1/2 Pint (or as many as you desire) fresh Strawberries

Candied Walnuts:
1 Tablespoon Butter
3/4 Cup Walnut halves
1/2 Cup Xylosweet (or sugar)

Dressing:
1/3 Cup White Vinegar
1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
2 Tablespoons Xylosweet (or sugar)
dash of Salt
fresh ground pepper
1 Cup Vegetable Oil

Wash spinach & strawberries dry herunterladen.  Remove stems from berries and cut in half and combine in a bowl.

Fresh Veggie Pizza

The gals were scheduled to come over the other night for the finally of our “Smut night” show; the Bachelor Pad.  It was a pretty good ending to a demented show that I still can’t believe that I enjoy watching!  None the less, I needed to come up with a healthy but delicious snack for us to share during the get together.  I’m not sure why this old recipe came to mind, but I decided it would be a great use of all of the varieties of veggies I had on hand in the fridge Download codec for free!  We used to have this years ago it seemed at many bridal and baby showers.  Isn’t it funny how things we prepare go in waves?  I must have been thinking about some of these dishes because I ended up making some whipped fruit dip on this evening too!  I changed the recipe up a bit to use all “light” ingredients and it tasted refreshing and delicious download protected images!

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) packages low fat (refrigerated) Crescent Rolls
4-6 ounces low fat Sour Cream
2 ounces plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 (8 ounce) package light Cream Cheese (softened)
2 Tablespoon fresh Fill
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt
1 (1 ounce) package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
1/3 Lemon, zest & juice
4 Green Onions
2 Carrots
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 1/2 Cups fresh Broccoli
1 Cup Cauliflower
2/3 Cup low fat Cheddar Cheese
2/3 Cup part skim Mozzarella

Preheat grill (or oven) to 350 degrees.  Spray a jellyroll pan with non-stick cooking spray which means downloading at youtube.

Creamy Cucumber Cold Salad

A number of my favorite fresh fruits and vegetables are more readily available in the summer time.  And by the end of summer, I’ve usually got more in my fridge than I can consume alone – so I try to make dishes that the others will enjoy.  Bill can be “hit or miss” on some veggies, which is puzzling to me because I love to eat them all the time itunes fotos herunterladen!

I always appreciate when friends share cucumbers from their gardens, but I’m not terribly fond of the large ones with big seeds inside.  I love the French varieties, but end up having to pay a bit more because of these positive attributes:

5 baby English cucumbers (or 1 to 2 large)
1/2 Cup Sweet Onion
1 Tablespoons White Balsamic White Vinegar
1 Tablespoon White Wine Vinegar
1 Tablespoons light Mayo
2 Tablespoons Greek Yogurt (plain non fat)
1 Tablespoon Splenda
Salt & Pepper

Rinse and slice the cucumbers and onions as thin as you possibly can.  Mix the cucumbers, onions, and a tablespoon of salt in a bowl.  Pour them into a colander and allow some liquids to drain into another bowl.  Cover the bowl entirely in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for about an hour while they continue to drip.  Some recipes call for longer, but I don’t think it’s necessary.  When you’re ready to prepare the salad, remove from fridge and discard the collected liquid Download ms teams.

3 Cups chopped broccoli
2-3 Tablespoons chopped onion
1/3 Cup chopped Orange Pepper
2 Strips of Turkey Bacon (cooked from left overs)
1/4 Cup of chopped Turkey Ham

1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
2 Tablespoons Splenda (or Sugar)
1/4 Lemon and rind
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste
2 Tablespoons of toasted, chopped cashews (because it’s what I had, but maybe would choose Almonds next time)

In the mornings when I’m in a hurry, looking in the fridge… wondering “what’s for lunch today – that I can throw together quick?”  I just create dishes so that lunch is less fattening than grabbing take out!  Bill wasn’t planning to join me for lunch this day and since broccoli isn’t his favorite – this salad was a good option and is what I assembled.  The flavors were bright and delicious Download videos from web pages.

Potato Skewers

I was recently looking for an interesting way to prepare some beautiful potatoes that I had picked up from Costco.  I like the colorful potatoes including new red, yellow and “purple” ones because they add color to dishes.  One might wonder if colored potatoes are healthier than white ones, but according to Whole Foods, the differences in color between varieties of potatoes are basically differences in carotenoid and flavonoid content amazon music lässt sich nicht herunterladen.
