Roasted Red, White & Purple Potatoes & Leeks

Grilled Beef Tenderloin

Beef fillet, is the best quality of beef you can get.  We often pick it up as pre-cut fillet steaks, but this roast cut of meat is very, very tender and has an amazing mild flavor!  Warning, it is very expensive!  I always buy it when it’s a managers special and is discounted.  It is easy to trim so if you can get it untrimmed for less – go for it.  The fillet is a large cut of meat right out of the short loin section and is the center of tenderness.  Recently I picked up a very large cut at Costco and was able to split it in two for a couple of amazing meals to come!  It is grilling season, so this day I chose to grill the meat spiele herunterladen fürs handy.

Ground Turkey Meatloaf with Sundried Tomatoes

I was inspired to try something different with ground turkey after recently catching a small glimps of a food network show where the gal was making turkey meat loaf.  I like to add things to turkey to keep it moist and to add flavor.  She was using some sun dried tomatoes and I happen to have a big jar on hand…  so this is what I came up with!  I prepared mine in the grill because it was still pretty hot outside and i didn’t want to run the oven.  I recall having meatloaf that was reheated by frying slices in a tad of hot oil in a skillet and that is what she had done.  I’m sure that it would be great served fried and would add a bit of crispiness, but this was flavorful and delicious simply as prepared elba app downloaden!

Ingredients:

1 package of ground Turkey (1 lb)
1 Large sweet Onion
1 Cups Panko bread crumbs
2 Tablespoons Chicken bullion powder
2 Egg beaters
1 Cups Sun-dried tomatoes, marinated in oil chopped fine
1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper

Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

I was helping Jen with her daughter Brontae’s graduation party last weekend.  We made a number of goodies and Jen was wanting something that wasn’t chocolate!  We tossed around the idea between banana bars or pumpkin, which are one of my favorites!  But since she had a number of frozen ripe banana’s on hand, we went that route!  Any time you have your banana’s ripen past your level of what you consider delicious, just freeze them!  They will turn black and when you squeeze them out – it’s a bit to get past the slimy texture, but I assure you that they make the best flavored breads and bars!  I like to vacuum pack them or place them in zip lock to keep them fresh.  This recipe for the bars actually came from my mom.  She always made the best banana bread, so I figured why not – we’ll make them into bars!  This recipe makes two bread loafs or a very thick 1/2 sheet pan for bars herunterladen.

Ingredients for Bread:

1 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs, whisked
Mix and add 6 Tablespoons of Sour Milk (of add 5 T of Milk to 1 T of White Vinegar) & 6 large Ripe Banana’s, mashed
Sift: 4 Cups Flour
2 Tablespoons Cinnamon (Optional)
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
2 teaspoons Salt

Frosting Ingredients:

4 Ounces of Butter, room temperature
4 Ounces of Cream Cheese, room temperature
2 Cups Powdered Sugar (our room was warm, so add a bit more in 1/4 Cup until it reaches the texture you prefer if too loose)
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract

Beat the butter and cream cheese in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy and soft.  Turn mixer to low and add the vanilla and powdered sugar a bit at a time until smooth!  Spread on bars and cut into small bars.  Keep bars in tact in pan until ready to serve so they stay moist!  Frosting will dry on the top to touch, but be careful if covering as the plastic or foil may stick Download bf2 for free in full version!

Refrigerator Bread & Butter Pickles

The other day a friend of mine (Jennifer L!) gave me a few very long, cucumbers that she had from her garden.  I love them, but was thinking about what I could do different with them as they are plentiful right now in season.  I got to thinking about some pickles that we used to enjoy at one of Bill’s aunts houses when we would visit while we were first dating… I dug and dug and found her recipe!  We used to snack on them along with a slice of cheddar cheese on top of a Wheat Thin download insta videos!

Give these a try.  They are very easy to make and taste delicious!

Ingredients:

8 Cups Cucumbers, sliced
1 Cup sweet Onion, sliced

2 Cups Xylo (Sugar works if you want it!)
1 Cup White Vinegar
1 teaspoon Mustard Seed (I used powder as I was out of seeds)
1 teaspoon Celery Seed

after washing and slicing the cucumbers and onions, sprinkle them with 2 to 3 teaspoons of salt and allow to sit on the counter for about two hours

Add onion to the cucumbers near the end of resting and Combine other ingredients in a sauce pan.  Bring to a boil

Pour over cucumbers and allow to cool somewhat

Cover and refrigerate in an air tight container herunterladen. Allow to chill over night.
