Roasted Pear Walnut Salad

Ingredients:

2 Pears
1/2 Cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Walnut Oil
5 Tablespoons Pear Champaign Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Honey
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Fresh Spinach
Fresh Arugula
1/4 Cup Creamy Blue Cheese, crumbled 
1/4 Cup Goat Cheese, crumbled 
1/2 Cup Walnut Pieces, toasted

Arrange the plates with fresh spinach and arugula.  Top with the cooled sliced pears, cheese and nuts.  Dress just before serving.

We enjoyed this salad along side of grilled beef tenderloin over a roasted red pepper sauce, grilled asparagus and garlic butter hash brown potatoes.  We paired our meal with a wonderful 2010 Charbono wine from Summers in Napa Valley, CA that our guests shared!

Hasselback Potatoes

We served the mini, multi-colored fingerling potatoes as Hasselback style at a recent wine dinner that my friend Lisa and I cooked for and co-hosted Rental contract for download free of charge.  I really like these little potatoes that have thin skin and fine textured yellow, white, red or purple flesh. If you wish to add cheese, sprinkle it over the top for the final five to ten minutes of baking.

Baked rack of lamb

I think some people think that preparing rack of lamb at home can seemed overly intimidating, but really it’s quite easy to make and takes no time at all you have to download fortnite.  Rack of lamb is an elegant alternative to some of the more common meat entrees like beef, pork and poultry. You can purchase frenched racks, whereas the ends of the rib bones are stripped of their meat from your local Costco or even Trader Joes for a pretty reasonable price herunterladen. Ingredients: 

1 pound Rack of Lamb, Frenched
2 Tablespoons Spinach Pesto
1-2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Egg Plant Stew

I often look at egg plant in the store, but don’t cook with it much.  I’ve eaten it, but never found it to be amazing. I think it’s sortof like tofu and it takes on the flavors of the food around it but is not really all that interesting on its own whatsapp web mehrere bilder herunterladen. For the eggplant:
1 Eggplant, large, thinly sliced

For the sauce:
1 Cups Prepared Pasta Sauce
2 Cups homemade Red Sauce, (or just more prepared but it’s what I had on hand)

For the ricotta layer:
8 oz container ricotta Con Latte
1 large egg
1/2  Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
1/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
2/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, sliced thin
2 Tablespoons Spinach Pesto

For the topping:
8 oz Mozzarella Cheese, shredded

Combine the ricotta, parmesan, shredded mozzarella, egg, and pesto.    In a baking dish, spoon a thin layer of sauce on the bottom.

Begin layering with the eggplant slices, ricotta mixture, and sliced cheese.

Repeat and finish with the layer of eggplant slices and some sauce on top.  Cover the dish with foil, place on a baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes.  Remove the foil, sprinkle on a bit more mozzarella cheese and bake until bubbly, about 15-20 minutes.  Allow to cool slightly and set before serving.

Grilled Shrimp Skewers with Curry Cream Sauce

These appetizers are super easy and stylish.  You could serve these on a larger scale as an entree with more shrimp per long skewers, but I like the petite, individual servings for finger food at a gathering google tabellen download kostenlos.  Leaving the shrimp tail on or off may be a matter of personal preference, but in this case I like to take it off! Sometimes I like to leave the tail on because I think the presentation is better and more dramatic and leaving it on might even make it easier to pick up the shrimp because it works like a handle vavoo.to. (But bear in mind that requires the diner to then cut it off and it’s not always pleasant to put your fingers in your food.) Ingredients: 

Uncooked large Shrimp, thawed, peeled and deveined (tails removed)
Asparagus, chopped into 2 inch pieces (blanch them if they are large)

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Butter, melted
Skosh of Fresh Lemon Juice
Garlic Cloves, pressed
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Sauce:
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tablespoons Shallots, finely chopped
1 Tablespoon Yellow Curry powder, or more to taste
1/2 Cup White Wine
1 Cup Heavy Cream
