Cornbread Casserole Sticks

I recently prepared a delicious Pork Loin roast.  In the past have cut the meat and stuffed the roast with ingredients similar to this corn bread stuffing filling fortnite pc.  You would then roll it up and can then be tied off before roasting, but this time our loin was roasted simply because I wanted to make a tasty side dish of corn bread using some my “new” cast iron molds that I recently found at a thrift store that was closing datei mit puttyen.

Back to the sticks… Though this recipe was more chunky, I am confident that the cast iron cornbread stick pans would make individual servings that are perfectly crisp and wonderful amazon prime video laptop.  My sticks didn’t have as obvious imprinted looks (like ears of corn), but the molds gave them a bit more crispy crust than simply cooking in a pan icloud all photos at the same time.  They were fun to eat without crumbs spread everywhere over our plates and I could imagine would be perfect for dipping into soups or chili!

Ingredients:

1/2 Stick Butter (for stuffing mix)
1 1/2 Cup Water (for stuffing mix)
1 Cup Sour Cream, I used light
1 Egg
2/3 Cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 Can Corn, drained
Boxed CornBread Stuffing Mix

Combine the sour cream with the slightly beaten egg and gently mix in the corn, cheese and cooked stuffing linux distributionen herunterladen.

Pork Loin Center Cut Roast with Cranberry Balsamic Sauce

I came across a pork loin center cut roast in the freezer the other day and thought it sounded good.  The loin is where we get the leanest and most tender pork cuts.  Since they’re lean, these cuts tend to dry out if overcooked.  Pork is safe to eat if it’s cooked to an interior temperature of 160 degrees russische filme kostenlos downloaden.  This roast is delicious when brined or rubbed with a spice mixture and went well with the fall flavors of cranberry and rosemary.

Pork-Cuts

 

Ingredients:

2 Garlic cloves, pressed 
1 Tablespoon Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper

Cook for about 30 to 45 minutes, then start checking the roast’s temperature with thermometer collage online erstellen und herunterladen. Serve with cranberry, rosemary balsamic sauce:
1/2 Cup Onion, chopped
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Fresh Rosemary, chopped
1 Garlic Clove, pressed
1 Package Brown Gravy, per package instructions
1/2 Can Whole-Berry Cranberry Sauce
1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar

Saute the onion in the oil until it begins to become translucent.  Add the chopped rosemary and garlic.

I added a couple tablespoons of water and continued to cook until onions became completely.

Stir in the gravy, cranberries and the and balsamic and cook until thickened.  Serve the sauce over the pork slices.

We enjoyed the pork with a side of steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and corn casserole sticks.  It paired wonderfully with the 2009 Pine Ridge Petite Verdot!

Hot Artichoke and Green Chile Dip

I was busy assembling my list of goodies for Bill’s big 50th birthday bash.  One of the easiest go to dishes I like to prepare while entertaining is hot artichoke dip spotify auf samsung tv herunterladen.  I always have the ingredients on hand and it’s really easy to put together and everyone seems to really like it.  This is not a healthy dish by all means, due to the high levels of fat in the mayo and cheese but there are some good components within herunterladen.  The main ingredient is the artichoke, which not only tastes great, but are also are high in iron, vitamin C, folacin, magnesium and fiber.  I typically use canned artichokes because they are the easiest to find and keep the longest, but keep in mind they have the lowest level of nutrients when compared to the fresh or frozen ones die sims kostenlos downloaden.  If you can, try using the fresh frozen ones.  They are great!

2 Cups Mayonnaise
2 (15 oz)Cans Artichoke Hearts, (in water) drained and chopped
1 1/2 C Parmesan Cheese, grated
1 1/2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
1 Garlic Clove, pressed
Pinch of Garlic Salt
2 Cans of Chili’s, including the juice

Hashbrown Potato Cakes

I recently had some shredded potatoes on hand in the fridge and was thinking about what to serve as a side dish.  I love the Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, that fry up perfectly to a crisp, golden brown because they’re made from quality potatoes herunterladen.  They’re always fresh, never frozen so you’ll never have to worry about freezer burn.  They are also super convenient and you can use as much or as little as you like out of the bag geräusche und sounds kostenlos downloaden (mp3).

These potato pancakes are shallow fried until golden and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.  They are super easy and delicious!

Ingredients:

Sunflower Oil, for frying

1 1/2 Cups shredded Potato Hash browns
1 Tablespoon Flour
1 Egg
2 Tablespoons Greek Yogurt, plain
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Cup Panko crumbs
Salt & Pepper, to taste

Sauteed Mahi Mahi with Mango Salsa

I picked up some Mahi-mahi, also called dolphinfish on sale at our new Whole Foods store recently.  This is a fairly oily fish with a firm and meaty texture that is not typically found in most stores in our area and when it is, it’s usually really expensive lg smart tv apps.  This fish’s naturally sweet taste makes it an ideal pairing for fresh fruit and herb salsas.  It not only tastes great, but also add nutritional value to your meal without boosting your fat and sodium intake herunterladen.  I’ve been hungry for Mango, so I created a salsa to go with our fish.

Ingredients:

2 Mahi Mahi Fillets
2 Tablespoons Sunflower Oil
1 teaspoon Lemon Olive Oil

1 Mango, peeled and chopped
1/2 Cup Green Onion, chopped

1 Garlic Clove, pressed
1/2 Orange, juiced
1 Tablespoon White Wine Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
Salt & Pepper

Fresh Flat Leaf Parsleyabout 1 Tablespoon
Fresh Cilantroabout 2-3 Tablespoons
Fresh Oregeno, about 1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon Ground Cumon
1 Tomato, medium chopped (I used an orange heirloom) 
1 Orange Pepper, small chopped
1/2 Cup Pineapple, chopped

Combine and melt the brown sugar, agave and other glaze ingredients in a small saute pan over medium-high heat.  Remove from heat and stir occasionally as it cools.
